Stuck on my phone, but you haven't been calling Out on my own, I don't know where the wind will carry me I don't know where the wind will carry me (Oh, my love) Meet me at the end of the way I don't know where the wind will carry me Help me travel to the end of every road ahead Let it all go We can't rewrite history And what is to come, is in our hands if we just keep holding on Everything's gonna be crystalline in time And I won't let go of any old feeling Meet me at the end of the way I don't know where the wind will carry me Help me travel to the end of every road ahead (Oh, my love) Everything's gonna be crystalline in time And I won't let go of any old feeling

Nothing ever works in our favour I’m just out here trying to savour You were the first of your kind in my orbit I wish the stars would align But they don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it I need a signal Some kind of flashing light Some kind of sign Something to ease my mind Nothing ever works in our favour You were the first of your kind in my orbit I wish the stars would align But they don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it They don’t so I just absorb it Echoes find their way back to me We’re aeons apart no it’s not meant to be this hard, this hard, this hard All is said and done Nothing ever, nothing ever, nothing ever, works in our favour Nothing ever, nothing ever, nothing ever, works in our favour You were the first of your kind In my orbit I wish the stars would align

about

Tutara Peak, the visionary musical project led by multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer Harvey Carter, is set to release his highly anticipated EP Of the Nescient Mind on February 16, 2024. This collection of tracks is eclectic in that it draws from indie electronic, folk, and ambient influences, yet cohesive in that Tutara Peak’s immaculate taste and stunning production details shine throughout the 24-minute sonic journey. Featuring guest vocal appearances from Flaws and Winifred – on “Wind Atlas” and “Orbit,” respectively – Of the Nescient Mind is a testament to Tutara Peak’s ability to seamlessly blend genres and create a sound entirely his own.

“While putting together this EP, I had an inspiring conversation with my friend about the thought of Nescience. I’d never come across the concept, however I couldn’t help but relate it to the experience writing the music for my EP. This project has been through many forms and changes for the better and I believe this is simply down to me being aware there are always ideas hidden within ideas. All the tracks started out in one form and gradually over time ideas started coming out of original ideas to form new ones. It was a very inspiring time working on this.” - Tutara Peak

Each track on the EP offers its own sonic landscape. “Float” opens with trembling synths that eventually evolve into a swelling electric-guitar-driven breakdown. “Gold In Autumn” features catchy guitar and synth riffs peppered with vocal chop melodies. “Orbit” spotlights Winifred’s gentle vocals atop delicately layered guitars, synths, and drums.

On track four, “Tangerine,” Tutara Peak remarks: “Tangerine is a very special song on my EP. I had just come back from LA which was an intensely inspiring experience and I think I still had a bit of that feeling when I got back. ‘Tangerine’ was born from this offset inspiration I still had and I think because of that it only took 2 days to fully complete. It definitely feels like one of my best executed songs I’ve written.”
