I had previously come across one or two of KOAN Sound's tracks, but I never decided to delve into any projects of theirs, and boy did I decide on a fantastic first listen. This is an auditory odyssey that takes you on an incredible journey the likes of which I have only heard from the most elite of composers for the movie industry. KOAN Sound have created perhaps one of my favorite stories in audio form as of recent.

Noisia style neurofunk meets glitch hop, IDM, jazz, world, ambient, elevator music, and who knows what else. This amalgam of genres has no right to work, but KOAN Sound somehow pulled it off, creating perhaps one of the most innovative albums ever. Every song is fantastic, either being a banger, atmospheric, emotive, or all three at once.
